Interview With Amy Brewis, Account Manager at Realistic Games

Welcome, Amy! Thank you for taking the time to chat with us. Before jumping into the exciting features in your new title Book of Bass, could you tell us more about the slot?

“Book of Bass presents players with a blend of two different games, both aesthetically and mechanically. This means that fans of traditional book-style slots and those typically drawn to fishing themes will both enjoy the fun presented within this title. The blending of these two iconic genres within the gambling world has allowed us to evolve them, with each drawing on elements of the other to deliver an entirely new gameplay experience.

The title builds from one of our most popular titles, Book of Charms, recapturing the magic that made the original slot so popular with added elements and mechanics to further increase the excitement.”

What should players be expecting from the Book of Bass base game?

“Played across 5×3 reels and 10 win lines, players will be landing rods, fishing lures and our two protagonist characters to win big in the base game. Aiding in unlocking these wins are two wilds, the first of which is a book scatter with at least three needed to enter the book bonus game. The fisherwoman wild once landed will also collect any instant win fish present on the gameboard, increasing win potential. With a 10,000x max win to reel in, there is a lot for players to get excited about in this game.”

There are two bonuses in this game, can you tell us more about each one?

“We’re thrilled to talk about the multiple bonuses in Book of Bass! The iconic book bonus randomly selects a base game icon to become an expanding symbol. Land three or more of this symbol anywhere on the gameboard and watch it expand to cover entire reels, potentially delivering massive wins across multiple pay lines.

Adding to the excitement, the expanding symbol can be the lucrative instant win fish symbol. This can potentially award multiple wins simultaneously on every spin, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the gameplay.

Additionally, we have added a fishing-based free spins round, triggered by landing three or more fish scatter symbols. In this feature, instant win fish are more abundant, and the thrilling can of worms feature can be activated when the fisherwoman wild appears without any fish on the reels. This will award instant win prizes, randomly placed on the gameboard which are then collected.

On top of this, each bonus can be won during the free spins of another bonus. This will award an incrementally increasing multiplier starting at 2x to any subsequent win and is increased by 1x for every additional retrigger thereafter. The more bonuses you win, the bigger your potential payouts!”

Book of Bass is the first in a series of titles named Mash Up, can you give us more details about this?

“Over the past few years, we’ve been dedicated to evolving our games and brand to meet and exceed the ever-changing demands of players. While our portfolio boasts numerous successful franchises, including the iconic Game Changer series and the beloved Bar-X titles, we felt it was time to bring something brand new into the mix.

With Mash Up, we aim to break new ground by combining elements of two distinct themes, aesthetics, or gameplay mechanics. This innovative approach allows us to create something truly exciting, offering players a fresh and immersive experience whilst drawing on familiar features they already enjoy.

What does your roadmap have in store for us after Book of Bass?

“Following Book of Bass we have three more releases up our sleeve before the end of the year. We’ll be following Book of Bass with a bang, launching Diamonds Stick ‘Em Up on the 14/11, a thrilling release with a 1930s diamond heist theme.

Hit The Top follows two weeks later and is a classic retro slot packed with modern features. We’ll be rounding off the year with Catch 22 Frozen Fortune, a chilly upgrade to our biggest release last year.
